He endured it through the first year, together with the fear that comes along with it. With great difficulty, but he pulled through. Just when he thought it’s all over, that he’s cured, the illness came back, doubled. The doctor says it’ll take longer to cure this time, and the pain will be intense for the first few years, but it’ll hopefully subside. Other options were offered, options that will shorten the painful period, but it might cause him to lose a limb. He decides to continue with him current medication.
The pain tormented him, the fear made him quiver. He braved through almost two years. One day, when the pain was about to recur, he lay on the bed. He felt helpless, he didn’t even have the tears to cry. He tried to gather some strength, but the pain just made him so weak he couldn’t even hold a fist tight.
The pain always discourages him, but with his will power and support from people around him, he managed to pull through the pain that haunted him. He knows that giving up is not an option.
He didn’t wish to give up, but was stepping on the line. If he gave up, he’ll end all his pain, but risk losing a limb and wasting all the efforts he had endured throughout the years.
He decide to continue enduring the pain, unless the doctor gave up on him.
